PHASE TWO
Only competitors selected to take part in the second Phase Two of
competition are eligible to the Phase Two.
A competitor in this phase may change the professionals with he/she has
collaborate in the first stage.
Documentation to be presented by the participants:
CONTENT AND DEFINITION
- Analysis of the architectural structure of the Complex based on the
organizational criteria of the new model for the office for which the
characteristics are given in the Program of Requirements.
- Definition of the organization of the surface area to be built and
reserve area, building volume, access, transit areas, pedestrian network,
garden areas, parking, ramps and roads.
- Architectural design of the Service Network: Access, public and
restricted parking, security areas, and their integration with the
resulting building organization.
- Conceptual designs for construction, installations and security.
- Views of the final image of the proposal.
- General justification of the proposal, indicating its correspondence
with the Program of Requirements and Functional Criteria, building
typology, urban regulations, quality of the land plot and planned
infrastructures.
- Numerical summary of building purposes and areas and their land plots,
Network of Services, urbanization, parking, open spaces, garden areas and
their conformity with the Program and Functional Criteria.
- All the texts shall be written in English.
WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION
- General description of the solution presented to fulfill the
Competition objective, making reference to the functional, formal and
technical aspects, over a maximum of 10 DIN A4 pages (margins 2,5cm each,
font Times new Roman, size 12)
- Numerical summary of building purposes, over a maximum of 4 DIN A4
pages.
- Log with a description of the solution adopted, over a maximum of 15
DIN A4 pages, including:
- Justification of functional aspects and purpose criteria, typology of
the buildings and service network.
- Justification of the regulatory aspects and security criteria.
- Charts of usage and building surface areas, and service network, as
well as accordance with the Program and Functional Criteria.
- Description of adaptation to the environment.
- Description of the structural concept of the complex.
- Description of all infrastructural systems in the complex.
- Description of the phases of execution and economic study.
GRAPHIC DOCUMENTATION
- Drawings to scale, sketches and diagrams, in free representation
technique, necessary for defining all aspects of the proposal.
- A maximum of 6 light and rigid DIN A0 panels in landscape format,
according to layout requirements indicated in these guidelines.
DOCUMENTATION ON CD
- In addition to the panels, a CD should be created containing the
graphic documentation for the proposal, stored in .pdf or .jpg format for
each of the panels, as well as the written documentation, stored in .doc
or .pdf format. The files should be stored under the overall heading name,
including the numeric order of the panels.
- These files may be used for possible publication or to compile a CD of
all the proposals. This may be distributed to members of the Jury prior to
their decision to enable them to study all of the proposals in detail.
- Definition on a Research Study level of the diagrams and architectural
typography of the building proposal.
- Definition at Draft level of the delimitation of the plot area to be
built on, as well as, building volume, accesses, pedestrian network,
garden areas, parking, ramps and roads.
- Definition at Draft level of all infrastructural services, accesses,
public and restricted parking, security system and integration with the
resulting building organization.
- Value-added perspectives that, according to the criteria of the
participant, help to show the unique aspects of the proposal.
- Detailed justification of the proposal indicating its accordance with
the Program and Functional Criteria, building typology, urban regulations,
quality of the land plot and planned infrastructure.
SCALE MODEL
A model on a scale of 1/200 representing the building complex should be
produced.
DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE LEGAL CAPACITY OF THE PARTICIPANTS
With regard to the capacity to take part in:
- in the case of private individuals (Architects or multi-disciplinary
teams), the National ID card or equivalent.
- in the case of bodies corporate, the deed of incorporation or
amendment, as the case may, be recorded at the Commercial Registry where
this requirement is imposed pursuant to the applicable commercial
legislation. If it is not, the deed or document of incorporation, by-laws,
or founding act containing the rules regulating its activities, recorded,
as the case may be, at the corresponding official Registry. Likewise they
shall submit the power of attorney providing for the powers of
representation held by the representative in the competition.
Certificates probative of the points contained on the statement of
liability supplied at the time of inscription:
- Administrative certificates issued by the relevant bodies proving that
the participant is up-to-date with his/her/its tax duties in his/her/its
country. In the event the participant is not subject to the said duties or
to any one of them, a statement of liability probative of this.
